Super2 star and Grove Junior driver, Matthew Payne will take part in Round 5 of the Dunlop Super2 Series at this year's Repco Bathurst 1000 on the 6th to the 9th of October.
Payne currently sits 3rd in the championship with 822 championship points in the bag, just 150 points shy of Zak Best.
The Bathurst round follows a successful weekend for Payne at Sandown at the Penrite Oil Sandown SuperSprint in August, where he earned pole in the first qualifying session and his second win of the series in the final race.
His impressive performance over the course of the event also earned him the title of Rookie of the Round.
The talented rookie will also be taking on co-driving duties alongside Lee Holdsworth in the #10 Penrite Racing Ford Mustang over the weekend in what is the biggest race on the Australian motorsport calendar, the 2022 Repco Bathurst 1000.
He has also been confirmed for a full-time drive for Penrite Racing in 2023 alongside David Reynolds.

It's one of the most iconic circuits and events of the year, so I can't wait to get going on Thursday in Super2 and also co-driving with Lee Holdsworth for Penrite Racing. I think we can achieve some strong results and we will see how we will go in the wet as well this weekend."
