It's with great pride that we can share with you another success for the Grove Junior Team.
Over the weekend, our youngest Grove Junior - Mika LeMasurier - became Queensland State Champion in the KA3 karting division. Out of 41 of the best young karters, Mika won the final and earnt his place as state champion.
Young Mika comes from an extremely humble family, unable to race and test as frequent as his competitors due to budget limitations. Regularly sleeping in the Vito van with his Dad at race meetings and using second hand tyres his competitors have discarded, Mika has learnt the value of hard work and dedication when chasing your dreams.
His scholarship with the Junior Team allowed Mika to step up to a national level, upgrade his go-kart and start to fight on a level playing field with some of the other kids he races.
After a rough start to the year, Mika dug deep, worked hard and never gave up. We're extremely proud of his success and look forward to watching him grow alongside the Grove Junior Team for the years to come!
