The Penrite Racing team were lucky to be joined by Grove Junior driver, Mika LeMasurier and his family last week as they took to Queensland Raceway for a partner ride day.
The QLD State Karting Champion was excited to join the team for the day and observe the #10 and #26 Mustangs as they took to track along with Stephen Grove's Carrera Cup car.
The 13 year old talent highlighted his excitement to be part of the Grove Junior program and his journey so far with the team, meeting Stephen and Brenton Grove, as well as his successes so far in his karting career.
Mika LeMasurier said: "I applied for the Grove Junior team in September 2021 with the application that was allowed with everyone. Fortunately, I got shortlisted and got picked into the team late 2021. I firstly met Stephen and Brenton early 2022 at the Grove factory where I got presented my helmet.
"I'm mostly looking forward to seeing what the opportunity brings being with Grove, of course a lot of opportunties are going to arise and hopefully I aspire to be, one, the best driver I can, and hopefully become a Supercar driver in the future."
Rebecca LeMasurier, Mika's Mum said: "Obviously I'm immensely proud of Mika and his achievements so far. Being selected for the Grove Junior team is life changing for Miky and it is life changing for our family as well - it gives him the opportunities to succeed, to become the best racer he can be, and he's fantastic at his craft and is one of the best in the country."
"Stephen and Brenton and the rest of the team at Grove are so supportive of Mika and continually give their encouragement and support, and are 100 percent behind him."
Mika continues his successful karting campaign, having recently raced in Emerald over the weekend for Round 4 finishing in P5.
