A set of P2 finishes rounded out Oscar Targett's weekend in the Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia (TGRA) 86 Series. He set impressive pace at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit; completing all sessions within the top ten.
His first race of the weekend saw him finish P8 followed. In race two he found good pace in the slippery and wet conditions making several clean passes to finish P3. The third and final race of his weekend drew to a close in tricky conditions and fading light. In an exciting race that saw several drivers run wide and off the circuit at turn 2 Oscar maintained his composure to bring the Grove Hire #22 home in an impressive second place.
The third round of the scholarship series will take place in Sydney from the 16th to the 18th of June.
It followed his car racing debut and similar success at Symmons Plains in the Porsche Michelin Sprint Cup series in which he is also competing this year with the support of Earl Bamber Motorsport.
His next round of Porsche Michelin Sprint will be held from the 28th to the 30th of July at Sydney Motorsport Park.
