OSCAR TARGETT

Grove Junior Team rising star, Oscar Targett is set to take on a full season of the Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge Australia, in hopes of asserting himself as the driver to beat.

Having raced competitively since 2013 Oscar Targett is making waves in the motorsport community. His already impressive wrap sheet has seen him cut his teeth in the Australian Micro Max Championship and work his way through a number of Australian Karting competitions to compete in the sport’s top level KZ2.

"I am looking forward to working with the experienced team at Grove Racing to fastrack my learning and to build a foundation to launch off into my professional racing career. With people around me like David Cauchi, Garth Tander, Grant McPherson, I know that is very possible."

His participation in the The FIA World Championship concluded the last of Oscar's races in Europe for 2022. He came away with some brilliant results finishing P20 in a field of 126 drivers.

He was also a recipient of the Young Sportsman of the Year award at the Logan Sports awards as well as nominee of the overall Logan Sportsperson of the Year.

FAVOURITE RACING MEMORY

After a tough Saturday I needed a good result in the final heat on Sunday morning at the world championship to make sure I made it onto the grid for the final. I went from 19th-10th in the most important race of the year for me up until that point and that secured me a place on the grid for the world championship final. 8th at the European Championship along with another comeback drive from 20th-4th in the final at the first round of the 2020 australian championships are some of the favourite memories from racing.
